Textile Talent Hunt is an example how a narrow river can change the life style in the dessert and how a ray of light can make a difference in the sheer darkness. An initiative of Bangladesh Textile Today organized in association with Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA), The Textile Institute and College of Textile Technology has changed the thinking, targets and learning process of the textile-garment graduate students.

The competition jolts a huge community of students and is changing their approach towards their future life. They have started to love the techno trade changes and developments as they were introduced with those in a very interesting systematic way. Textile professionals of tomorrow are going to rock the industry with this changed approach. Number of students has got the right method of research and is undergoing research or dealing their study activities with a very new approach. The great success of Textile Talent Hunt 2009 leads the organizer to start the 2nd version with larger coverage and larger focus.   • Participating Universities: 10
  • Participating Students: 324
  • Students taken to the grooming and training for research: 52
  • Research conducted and submitted on 35 topics.
  • More than 25 teachers were involved as supervisors in supervising the research works.
  • Launching was in National Press Club and extensive promotional campaign covered in 10 universities.
  • Four Technical Seminars organized in different campuses.
  • Three training sessions for best 52 participants.
  • Personal counseling by specialists for outstanding result from the research.
  • ‘Grand Finale’ and ‘Award Giving Ceremony’ organized in Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Centre.
