The TTH - 2010 Competition:

To continue our effort of making knowledge based textile garment community, we work with the textile educational institutions like government colleges under different public universities, private universities, other institutions under National University; Textile Talent Hunt 2010 is the second version of it for the textile-garments students who will join in the industry very soon. Our studies show that most of the technical and art & design students are lagging recent techno-trade knowledge. If these students can know the technical developments, trade issues, fashion and design trends, international and local business trends, prevailing regulations before starting their career, they will be in way ahead at the very beginning.

Eligibility to participate:

Any Degree and upper level textile-garment student (B.Sc. in Textile Engineering & Technology; B.Sc. in Textile Technology; B.Sc. in Fashion Design & Technology; B.Sc. in Textile Management; Bachelor in Apparel Merchandising), who has completed at least one year or equivalent credits/semester of his Undergraduate course can pre-register to participate in the competition.

Participating Institutions:

Students from all the institutes giving the above stated degree with proper permission from the government and the University Grant Commission or any other valid authority if required can do the pre-registration for the competition.

2. Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology.
3. BGMEA Institute of Fashion & Technology.
4. Primeasia University.
5. Daffodil International University.
6. Southeast University.
7. Mowlana Bhasani University of Science & Technology.
8. Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology.
9. Textile Engineering College Noakhali.
10. Textile Engineering College Zorargonj.
11. Textile Engineering College Pabna.
12. University of South Asia.
13. City University.
14. Shanta Marium University of Creative Technology
15. World University.
16. Green University
17. Northern University
18. Atish Dipankar University of Science & Technnology.

The Competition Flow:

The total competition will be of four steps consisting of written test, Paper submission, Viva voc & Paper presentation.
1. The written test
Guideline for the Test
The Test will be of 100 marks for answering in the question paper and to be held in places at a same schedule that will be announced later.

First fifty (50) students of the test will be awarded and they will get a free subscription of Bangladesh Textile Today for one year.

First fifty students also will be eligible to participate for the final part of the competition and they have to do the final registration before proceeding for the main competition. The Registratin fee will be Tk. 500 per student.
2. Paper Design/Software Submission
(Best 50 students of the quiz test)
From a list of topics provided by the Judges Panel the competitors have to select one and have to work under a selected supervising teacher/professional on the pre selected topic under the guidelines given earlier. The Jury board will judge the papers according to merit, content & originality. Best 20 paper participants will be called for a viva voc.
 
Best 20 ranked papers will be called for interview/defense.

3. Interview/Paper Defense
(Best 20 students of the written test)
Best twenty (20) paper participants will be called for an interview to the Judges Panel. This viva voc will be mainly to assess the originality of the work and also to assess the level of knowledge gathered by the participants in the subject matter of the paper. Best five papers will be selected from these for presentation in the �TTH 2010 Grand Finale�.
 
Best 20 ranked papers will be called for interview/defense.
4. Paper/Design/Software Presentation
(Best 5 students)
Best five participants will present their papers at TTH Grand Finale to be held at the end of the Talent Hunt program in front of the professionals, entrepreneurs, high officials; education personalities and other distinguish guests. The Jury Board will select the Champion, and two Runner-up positions by considering all four steps result of the competition.

Winner
(1 Champion & 2 Runner up)

� Pre-registration fee BDT 100 only per participants
� Lucrative Award Package to be given to the winners.
� Special Award for the best twenty talents.
